Evaluation of results

Through the results produced from my survey the following can be concluded and assumed as evidence towards our films intention to be justified and other factor’s such as target audience as well.
Through our survey we understood that in comparison to Kidulthood, the movie we have compared our movie most like to, we believe that the main target audience for this film would be ranging from 15-18 years old. The reason being is that firstly the film is a 15 due to the mild language etc. That will be included. It could easily go up to 24 from 18, however there are certain conventions to our film in which we believe it would suit better for a slightly more marginal audience. This is as our characters are characters which are still in education, most likely the audience will still be in education as well, whether it is college or any other type. This relationship bonds the audience. The reason we picked this group was because in our survey we identify that over 80% of them had seen adulthood which proves that it is quite popular. To further extend on this 100% of the survey who said they had watched adulthood stated that they would like to see another movie just like it, hence proving that there is a gap in the market for our film.
In addition, there is no ruling out older generations of both male and female who may want to watch our film not only to reminisce as a sort of “catch up with your mates”, type of film but also to update with modern society, in which our film portrays clearly. This is supported with the fact that 40% of the audience showed interest when being questioned about Kidulthood that they would like to see another movie like it. This is a good sign  considering it’s not the audience we are aiming our film for so it provides re-assurance.
