Narrative structure reverse development

     Narrative structure reverse development

Climax: Starting with climax rather than exposition to slowly reveal the development.
       |
       |
A decisive moment/ matters come to head; suspense is high.
  • Either starting with a black out and POV camera editing with Shane's eyes closing and opening as diabetic sound of deep breathing
  • Either start with contacts of bright light introducing BigT with some gang members beating up Shane
  • Or start with Shane at night on the streets in the cold with an undiagetic sound track of his voice narrating his emotions as a monologue as the opening
All aspects involved within the climax scene should aim to create high suspense and audience attachment.

Role Focus
  • Production design = Finding and researching good urban city locations to shoot the scene. If lighting is needed to create a deeper mood and what sounds would be needed to record and picked up to create the full effect of the opening scene
  • Camera work= depending on which exact opening decided; working on the shots and best angles to shoot certain frames and what sort of camera needed. (plan camera work sheet )
  • Directing=What  the dialogue is intending to accomplish? script if needed or go by improvisation but write up a script with reasonable amount of dialogue in sections needed. Work with design and camera to bring both technical  aspects together, creating a successful first act 1 climax scene
  • Producer=Also working with the set design gathering the right material shot cues. Find a way to transfer into the next scene either by dialogue, lightning or sound.

Ruth calls the police and they come and arrest Shane's father and rescue the mother who however is now dead anyways.
Shane picks up Ruth's phone to hear a mans voice threatening her to bring the money that she stole from him. Shane doest understand that Ruth has a hidden a gender of her own where she works for Big T as a dealer and a prostitute.
However Shane realises that there is something going on with her as she quickly tries to escape the house to go visit Big T.
Shane follows her whereabouts and catches her in the act, but wants to find out more. He gets caught by Big T and begins to run for it.
He then gets involved with Big T and says he'll deliver the full amount by the end of the weak if Ruth is left alone.
Ruth isn't seen again as Big T kidnapped her to use  as ransom if Shane fails the task.
Shane doesn't manage to collect the full amount so decides to make a run for it before Big T finds out and kills Ruth. He gets a phone call from Ruth begging for him to save her and he packs his bags and goes on the streets looking.
One night as him being a homeless teen, sleeping on the streets of london, BigT and his gang find him as his phone was being tracked the whole time. They beat him up rob him and leave him for death before the police arrive.
